Frequently Asked Questions

Patient FAQ’s

Q: Do I Qualify?

A: Under Washington law you must have a “qualifying condition” and be a Washington resident.

Q: What’s Next?

A: A patient that meets medical authorization criteria may produce, possess, and use medical cannabis and designate providers to assist.

Q: Can I be arrested?

A: Patients shall not be found guilty of a crime under state law for their possession and limited use of cannabis.

Persons who act as designated providers to such patients shall also not be found guilty of a crime under state law for assisting with the medical use of cannabis.

Physicians also are exempted from liability and prosecution for the authorization of cannabis use to qualifying patients for whom, in the physician’s professional judgment, medical cannabis may prove beneficial.

If a law enforcement officer determines that cannabis is being possessed lawfully under the medical marijuana law, the officer may document the amount of cannabis, take a representative sample that is large enough to test, but not seize the cannabis.

If charged with a violation of state law relating to cannabis, any qualifying patient who is engaged in the medical use of cannabis, or any designated provider who assists a qualifying patient in the medical use of cannabis, will be deemed to have established an affirmative defense to such charges.

Q: What is the new C.A.R.E. Loyalty Program and how do I qualify?

Q: I heard you are offering massages! Is this done at the Seattle Clinic or can they be done at my home?

A: Massages are done at CARE in a private room and are scheduled directly with Nick. Contact us here for more information. House calls may be available with the masseuse if they chose to offer that service, but the reduced price would not be available there.
